Big Bob Gibson BBQ @ Big Apple BBQ (NY, NY)
Alabama pitmaster Chris Lilly is one of America's best-known barbecue personalities. He emerged on the barbecue scene in 1992, when he began working for the world-famous Big Bob Gibson BBQ. Recognized by the Wall Street Journal as having the best pork barbecue in the country, Chris has won 10 World BBQ Championships, including six "Memphis in May" World Titles (a.k.a. "The Super Bowl of Swine").
The pulled pork shoulder sandwich was hands down the best BBQ we had at the Block Party. It was served with championship red sauce (you could also get jalapeno red sauce or white sauce). When the pork shoulder came out of the grill, it was so soft, Chris could pull it apart with his hands. Yum.
